Just got a new DMT 325 in the mail today. Worked a few chips out of a taylors eye witness and was very happy with the fast results. Then on to lapping my Naniwa 1k with the DMT. Lapped it and found that my Naniwa felt very rough to the touch. After drying it I could see that it was all scratched up. It seems there is one high spot on the DMT that's digging into my naniwa. I can't find the defect on the dmt but sure enough ever stroke leaves a scratch. The scratches are deep enough that i can feel them while honing. Is this a common issue with DMTs? Should I send it back to the vender for a replacement. Is there a way to flatten the high spot?
