Thanked: 1Can anyone comment on the SK11 1000 grit hone?
I saw it on ebay, by a probably lousy merchant as no details were provided. Can't seem to find this hone or any information about it elsewhere either, but of course I like the price. It's red, other than that I cannot tell if it should be treated as waterstone or not, or whether it needs to be lapped. Has anybody had any experience with this one, and if you ever bought one, would you do it again?

Thanked: 13245The Naniwa is a proven hone for Straight Razor honing, and a top notch one at that, always a good idea to start with a hone like that, rather then experimenting with a hone that nobody has really heard of ..
That way if you drift off into the weeds, when you ask for help we can give it knowing the hone is not the cause and we have a reference to guide you back onto the path
Good choice
