    Default Hone identification - please help

    Could anyone identify this stone?

    It is quite large: 225 x 80 x 18 mm, looks like cocoa brown, sometimes graphite grey. Seems to be a finisher.
    Has got small spots or veins of jade green colour. Please have a look at these pictures.

    Looks like Welsh slate. I like mine with a light slurry, and have used it as a finisher successfully.

    Definitely purple honing slate, probably from Wales. The green spots are a give-away.
