Thanked: 1New Slurries and the First Touch up
Hello all,
I am pretty new here, this being my first post. I have had a razor long enough now that its time to think of the first touch up so I got on the horn and ordered some samples from various abrasive vendors I know. I used to develop abrasive cutting and polishing systems for the semiconductor wafer and optics industries so I know my abrasives relatively well and getting samples is never a problem.
I however, am new to razors and looking for some suggestions on a touch up routine using a water based spray.
So, in today's goodie bag I have the following:
Aluminium Oxide dispersion (premix, water soluble)
0.05 micron
0.3
1.0
Diamond (premix, water soluble)
0.25micron
0.5
Cerium oxide (premix, water soluble)
0.5 micron
What I was thinking of doing was touching up on diamond 0.5 micron(leather) and finishing on CeOx on linen or leather. The rest of the goodie bag will remain in the closet for another day. This will be my first kick at the can here so let me know if that seems reasonable.
Thanks,
Dave
