Thanked: 1Radio shack sells a $10 60x-100x hand held that is pretty good and convenient (as another option)
I'll refrain from commenting on this since I have limited use on microscopes (I prefer telescopes )

IMHO, the Radio Shack microscope is all you need for sharpening the occasional blade. It's not the most convenient thing to use, but it's adequate, has a built in light to illuminate the razor and is about the right magnification level. When you're looking at the edge with the microscope, you have to scan the entire length of it to make sure it looks good everywhere, not just in one spot. That's fairly easy to do at 60X... not so easy to do at 300X. Many people only use a jewelers loop and find that adequate. Of course, if you wear glasses, etc. looking into any eyepiece is problematic... so if that's an issue, or you are going to hone a LOT of blades, I'd get a microscope that connects to the computer so you can see bigger pictures easily.
I've seen pretty nice razor pics from the QX5 for example. If you get one, make sure you get it complete with stand and eyepieces... there's lots of refurbished stuff out there that's a PITA to make usable because of missing parts. Oh, and I don't recommend the QX3 predecessor model because it's too hard to focus.

I think the RadioShack microscope is not worth getting. You will be better with good quality jewelers loupe, 10-30X magnification....
