Keep in mind Jim did most of this restore, that polishing was all him same with the restore on the scales, his work looked great when I got the razor..
All I really did was correct the old hone wear and pin that puppy up

Now granted the Honing was a bit of a bear but I was pretty happy with how even I finally got the bevel to pop

    Glen ,
I should have had u sign the razor, I'm honored that YOU did such a masterfull "tune-up-shaved with it this morning , almost full face, damn sharp, only 1 6" laceration, damn near a BloodBath, need to be more careful with those smile profiles.
    Thanks again,
    Jim

I think most of us owe a huge kudos to Glen...or at least I do. While there are many wonderful contributors to SRP who also deserve similar praise, it is mainly Glen's posts and videos that taught me how to restore and hone. I use the one razor he sharpened for me as my benchmark. In other words, I know a razor isn't ready until it pops hairs and shaves as smoothly as his edge!

+2 kudos from me :<0) He does great work and he will also help you learn to do the same.
It reminds me of the saying..." give a man a fish and he eats well 1 day. Teach a man to fish and he can sit in the boat and drink all day on his own."
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I agree Glenn's videos have been a great resource for me. His video on how to hone a smiley blade is masterful
Straight razor shaving is like motorcycling both require full attention and continuos learning and honing of skills...
