I Am No Expert But I Think Using The Dmt Is Going To Put In Micro Chips On The Edge?

Thanked: 177You can but as was said, it may give you microchips. If you need to remove a lot of metal its helpful, but don't set the whole bevel with it. Stop before you reach the edge and finish it on your 1k or whatever your using. This way you wont put the deep scratches on your bevel. I try to avoid it if I can. I also have a chosera 600 that cuts fast but not deep like diamonds do. Even the 600 I end before its complete as I prefer to finish the bevel on the 1k. And chosera 1k IMO and as many others have said is a top notch bevel setter.

It's an aggressive way to remove steel, even with a taped spine I think it will give you more work in the end.
Go with your King 1K, it's a fine stone, sure there's better stones out there but the King will do the job.
The only thing with them would be that they are on the soft side but since you got the 325 to flatten it that wont be a problem.Hur Svenska stålet biter kom låt oss pröfva på.

I have the king.. What I may do is just lap it again and go.. I have a ebay green lizard coming which I think I'm gonna have to put some time into.. Are there bad kings?. I read a different post that said there not consistent??

There are bad kings, but if yours is working well, you have nothing to worry about. If it sets bevels reliably & you get nice shaving edges when you go higher then yours is not one of the bad ones.
I also would not use the 325 for bevel setting--it will require the removal of a lot of steel--probably the equivalent of several complete bevel sets to get rid of those deep scratches.
