I read this thread before and kept it in mind when I was getting frustrated. I would put it down and wait till the next day. I don't want to call it a success yet as there is still a microchip near the toe that I want to get out but it really is barely there anymore. I added another layer of tape for a total of two and that really made a difference. The member (Zib) who I had hone this blade for me before said that it microchipped for him and that it also had some minor geometry issues and that I should use tape from the get go. As I mentioned earlier I increased the angle to about 80 degrees heel forward and it makes it easier for me to roll the razor and get the toe and heel alot easier and more uniformly. I also was sure to go slow and be deliberate about my stroke as I was noticing that when I would go the speed that I would on my other razors (which is still slow) that I would not hit the heel and toe as uniformly as I should.

I still have some more work to do but at least I have learned what works for this particular razor on my stones. Of course I will keep you guys posted on my hopefull success. Either that or I will be contacting one of you do hone a razor for me haha.

Well I finished up the razor and I must say that I am proud of myself. I cant say that its the best hone job but it passed all my tests I normally do including TWT. Thats right the wife test. So smooth she cant stop kissing me. I even got the smoothest I have ever gotten on my neck. Thanks for the advice guys and yes I rewatched your videos with the joseph rodgers Glen. Very good videos
