Thanked: 21Stone found in France(Alsace) near Germany.
Hello Gentlemen,
Here is my last honing stone.
I bought it in Alsace(region of France near german border as you may already know), this departement is located between LEs Vosges La lorraine and Germany, three places
where we generally find good natural whetstone!
Pictures!
I'd say, it's not really flat.
As you can see, the stone has been roughly used, so I decided to flat the straightest side.
A dark grey slurry appeared. The green spot is painting.
After a few minutes some natural spots came out on one face and the side.
The work is not finished!
What do you think, is that a schwedenstein; a german slate as Thuringian or may be a basic french slate??
I saw nearly the same stone on ebay/Germany, with the same wooden box!
