Thanked: 3228Granted the fix is easy if you have the skill and the hones to touch it up yourself. For me the biggest rub would be if having paid a premium for a semi custom/custom razor that was advertised as being shave ready and was not. On no account should that be let slide by with an oh well I'll just fix it myself.
No matter how good a products reputation is it is almost inevitable that some sub par items get out for purchase. Nobody is perfect. OTH if you don't make a point if insisting it be made right which draws the attention of the maker to the fact that QC might need to be tightened up, more sub par products may get out to the end users. A good company does not want it's reputation to be undermined by unknowingly having sub par items get out the door.
At the very least, if you fix it yourself let both the vendor and Hart know of your dissatisfaction.

Thanked: 3Bob,
Yes I agree with you. You can't fix what you don't know about. I have already sent and email to the vendor make them aware of this issue and will follow up with one to Hart. I will fix it myself though as it is more hassle than it is worth to send it back and get it fixed.
Thanks

I have, it was a Dubl Duck I picked up from Vintage Blades. It was shave ready and done right. Shaved like a razor is supposed to.
If the OP has all the stones mentioned, may as well put them to use. Although a properly honed and stropped razor from a pro is nice, there is nothing better (as far as shaving goes) than a razor that you have made shave ready yourself.

Thanked: 3New Hart Razor Not Shave Ready Asking for Advice
Ok I ended up resetting the bevel. Ran it through the 1k, 5k, 8k, and 12k Naniwa's and it came out great. I started by trying just the 12k and then 8k but things were not going where I wanted so I decided to start from scratch with one layer of tape. I'm slow as I'm still learning it took me about hour.
