Surprisingly easy hone today!?
Ok... So im no pro honing by any means... I like the results i have with my razors so far but today i felt like a pro... So i was hesitant to hone this razor! It is a Henry Sears 1865 Queen... The razor looked in good shape when i got it... Turned out to have an ugly nick on it and on rescaling i noticed it was warped! I put 2 washers in on side at pivot and it closes like a dream! So since everything had been hard with this razor today i went to hone and i dont know if i am getting better at this or if the razor is just easier to hone but man! It went like butter! I will be shaving tomorrow with this razor but right now i can tell it is the best edge i have on my 8 razors in rotation! Pretty exited to try on my face!
Here she is with some camelia oil!

One word!!! Wow! Tonights shave was awesome! The only thing that sucks is that now i want all my razors this sharp! Hanging hair test passed like nothing! My wife saw how it would grab the hanging hair and snip with no issues and she decided to stick around during shave! Lol she wanted to see my reaction and make sure i wasnt gonna slice my face open!

It's good and bad when you realize there's another level of sharpness that you've been missing. Can't tell you how many times I've rehoned all of my razors after learning something new!
