Thread: An ugly problemed child becomes my new favorite

I wanted to share a success milestone for me.

I just moved my most recent regular go to to back to the hone line. Why? I surprised myself by honing up a slightly problemed Kobar High Class. These things are sweet razors, IMO, she's just not the girl I'd bring home... She's dirty and she's a character.

To start, the razor had a bit of what I posted regarding my Globusmen going on. Rather than adding the 2nd layer of tape, I was able to push, push and roll, and sythe my way up the ladder onto my face.

Now, I haven't compared the TNT to my untouchable, holy grail, pro honed shelf queen, but it seems to shave as nice or better(I think the steel makes a difference. The Kobar being solingen), but I have made such a leap in progress and achieving a big success, I had the best shave so far yet...and *without* a shower.

I can't wait to go back to the hones and lay that Globusmen on it(not to mention sending a few others back to square 1k).
