    Default Consistent Honing Pressure

    Bit of a cross post here. Jim, from our Texas meet, came up with a thoroughly brilliant idea. Put the stone on a scale, tare it, then hone on it to examine your consistency in honing pressure!

    I believe that Trimmy did this and videoed it as well. It was not a really long thread, but I still can't find it, but its here

    I guess I should have been more clear on my thoughts. If you go look at his thread and what he did and the comments made you may find some pitfalls that have already been discovered. As I reread my comment I kind of thought it may look discouraging, and that was not my intent.
