Barber hones Info
There are any site with info on Barber Hones?
I don't want to know the Grit size, but wich models was used for maintenace and touchups, wich models for finishing, wich for resharpening, wich for set a bevel and wich for erase nicks.

Thanked: 2209There really is no such site. That lack of information is one of the reasons that a lot of guys do not use them. Even withing the same brand, such as a Swaty, there are variations. If you have patience and a microscope you will be able to tell which are suitable for what tasks but that will take time. BTW very few barber hones are suitable for removing visible nicks. The easiest way to remove those nicks is with some 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper.
