    Default Honing Station Setup

Figured out how to stack some common items to make a honing station in the kitchen sink. I can keep the water flowing to help with those really thirsty stones. All you need is a dish rack placed face down, a tile and possibly a stone holder if you have one. I am not sure if anyone else does this but it seems to work. So any other possibilities out there?

I showed your beautiful set-up to my wife. She's calling a lawyer now.

In my neck of the woods the water po-lice would find you and confiscate your set up and all your razors and put you on the hoosgow for a few weeks for wasting water.

Wasting, never. I used more water having to let my faucet drip during the cold days here. Cannot have those pipes a bursting. I also wasted more water as a kid playing with the hose.

it looks too high for good ergonomics. You really should insulate, your water lines at least.

For me the ergonomics are great, not low and not too high. I live an apartment so no insulating. They just advise residents to do it. It's NC so I'm sure the developers cut corners. Anyway you really do not have to let it run.

If i am going to hone in the kitchen vice the coffee table, I use this

    Naniwa Sink Bridge

Same principle. Works well for lapping too!

Looks like a good idea, I'm going to give it a try.
