    Default Wonderedge

So... I won a Wonderedge off the bay and was talking with 10pups about it.
He was telling me that it takes a while to get it sharp.
    Harder steel or something...

I took it to the DMT to get rid of the chips it had.
Used Glen's (I think) method of breadknifing the blade.
Basically do it on an angle instead of straight up and down.
Getting closer to the spine when you are getting close to getting rid of the chips.

All went well for that part...
    Blade is flat...looking good!

Started the honing process with my Chosera 1K.
Man is this a nice stone!
Anyways, I am honing away ...and honing...and honing...
I notice a "wave" near the heel.
    Not horrible but noticeable.

I think I know why it is called a Wonderedge....
I began to Wonder if I would ever get and edge...

After what seemed like forever it began popping hairs like a CHAMP!

Time to clean it up and put it in the rotation!

I know I have to get rid of the start of a heel hook......

Nice job getting those chips out. Looks like it should shave well. What's the new blade width are restoring it?

    Thanks!
The width is right at 5/8 now.

Going to clean it up and see what it looks like.
MIGHT do a full restore... or depending on the razor...just clean it and use it...
