    Default Honing direction

Being a newby, I know I'll need to use a honing stone at some point soon.
I watched a video by Lynn Abrams.
I was very surprised when I think I saw him bringing the razor across the 12K stone with the edge leading.
    Just the oposite of stropping.
    Did I see this correctly?

Yep. Normal honing is with the cutting edge leading. Strop with the spine leading.

Edge leading ..when honing.. When u get really into it into honing you can do some spine leading strokes to clean up the edge .. But we will hold off on that for now..

After more reading, I can see where that was really a dumb question.
    Thanks for not hammering me.
