Thanked: 1Honing a Dovo Bismark
So my Dovo Bismark needs a touch up session. This is my nicest razor and I want to do it properly. I have a Naniwa 12k that I use to touch up my razors. I don't have any problems with my other razors, whats different with the Bismark is that it has the goldwashed spine. I don't want to remove the goldwash, so my question is how do I proceed with the touch up? Do I use tape? I'm confident the bevel is fine, it just needs the touch up. Thanks in advance guys

Thanked: 1587If you don't want to lose the goldwash you'll have to tape the spine. It was probably honed that way initially anyway if there was no loss of gold wash when you bought it.
