    Default Over honing questions

I have a few questions about over honing. Is it possible to ever over hone on a natural stone? I have read that you can't over hone on a coticule and wonder is that true for the coti and all naturals? Can you over hone at the 4-5k level? At what grit does over honing become a major concern? I assume not bevel set ( until you run out of steel), maybe sharpening stage, and it seems apparent, from what I've read, you can over hone at the polishing stage. I will leave it there because that is already a lot to chew on. Thanks for your help in advance.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!
