Honing Mentor Within 2 Hrs. of Hartford CT?
So this week I got my Norton hone set. I've been watching the videos, reading the forum..... But I think sitting down with a mentor would be invaluable.
Anyone within 2 Hours of Hartford CT willing to help a newbie?

Wow, you guys are the best! Offers to help out a newbie, even chauffeured transport! Doesn't get any better than that. Looks like I'll be heading to Long Island Saturday for some expert teaching. When I get a little honing under my blades and need some help on the finer details I'll be in touch with nicknbleeding who is quite close to me. I don't have a finishing hone yet so when I'm ready to make a choice I'll contact aa1192 to try out his selection and see which I like.
Thanks again guys!

I'm in southbridge ma. I wouldn't call myself a mentor, but I'm happy to help and you can try out a decent selection of stones.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!

Just an informal get together. Always room for one more. Or two or three.
