    Question GlassStone - what does it mean?

    Hello
    I have seen this stones here from Shapton

    How are they? does someone have experience with them?
    Seem to be very unifarmy good and so on
    How is the 8000/16,000/30,000 ones especial ?
    and how will you compare them against Norton 8000 and the yellow Belgian one?

    They are the same ceramic as the pro-series shaptons, but they only have a thin layer of ceramic on a glass base.

    However, that thin layer is still enough for a lifetime of normal use.

    And what does it mean? or what does it gives me as a sharpen stone?
    and if it is so good, why people prefer the Norton and so on?
