Just purchased one of those NOS polish razors on ebay, along with the leather/linen strops. I already have an Illinois strop that I plan on using for simple daily stropping, but figured the Polish strop would be a good one for a paste to keep edges nice and keen between trips to the hone.

My question is, for simple upkeep what paste grade should I go with? I know this is a more complicated question than it seems.

My stubble isn't terribly burly if that helps the decision at all.

Was also wondering what method I should use to apply mink oil to the Illinois, and the Polish strop to condition if needed??
