Today I am honing a beautiful razor, a minty classic , an awe inspiring 8/8's. What i realized today was the tension I was holding in my body. My focus is on the hone and razor but my body was standing on the high board at the public pool for the first time. Once realized, I relaxed, and having done that, found that more energy, focus if you will, was available for the actual task at hand. My next effort will be toward finding the optimum height for the apparatus of honing. Right now I am using kitchen counter height which is doable but definitely not optimum as it causes me to spend a little too much time in an odd bend. I figure all this is personal and somewhat related to a person's height.
Probably there are experienced razor honers out there that can hone on their backs laying in a hammock. But I am wondering if anyone has worked on this or even thought it was important? I did a quick search in the box but may not have used the correct words.
