Default New finishing process on my JNAT

This is quite possibly something that has been done before, but i had a very interesting breakthrough when finishing two razors today. I have a shoubudani type 100 from maksim, and i have loved it since day one. A while back i picked up an Escher pocket hone, its like 5 inches long by half inch wide. This is really small, and i have not been able to comfortably use it on razors. So today after i was finished on my tomo nagura, i made a slurry with the escher on my JNAT, and it will be getting a shave test very soon!

Cool. I have never seen or touched an escher, but I have wondered whether another slate like a PHIG or some sort of pure clay might produce fine enough slurry on a Jnat to act as a lubricant/polishing slurry. Just thinking the clays/slates might be smaller and less abrasive than Jnat toishi particles (including mikawa/tomo nagura), not that they are better.
