Thread: tryin to find someone to help me in kansas city

Im trying to hone but i would like to sit down with someone maybe have a beer or coffee and bend their ear and maybe they can teach me how to be self sufficiant. but i have pm everyone in kc area that has been active this year, do you guys know of anyone im in kansas.

Sounds like we're going to have a one day meet in the KC area before long, will be plenty of experience there. The date will be announced soon, make plans to come.

I will keep looking on the forum but I do have a request. Sometimes things get posted in different places here for different reasons. Can I beg the organizers to make the announcement obvious? I saw the last meet was posted on one of the forum threads but I failed to see it listed on the events page. I would love to put faces and names with screen names in the KC area. Any help at announcements is appreciated. If help is needed in planning/coordinating I am willing to help. Thanks to everyone!!

I'm not involved with organizing anything, but I will suggest that you do two things.

1. Watch for, or occasionally check, the KC meetup thread in the Get Togethers and Meetings section of the forum.

2. Send a PM to WalleyeMan (Ray) who hosted the most recent KC meet-up last fall and who is considering hosting another one some time soon.

Oh, and a third thing. Go ahead and post your interest in the thread and ask to be kept informed about a future meet-up.

Thanks for the ideas. I was able to find the thread and did post interest on it. Sometimes finding where different threads are does not always make sense to my granite brain. With three brain cells, two are frequently arguing so I am at a deficit.
