    Default chromium oxide bar?

Is this the same stuff as the paste that I hear so much about?

Lee Valley also sels something like this. If I didn't have like 0.5lb of it in powdered form, I'd buy it and try it lol.

the thing about lee valley's bar is that they say it's primarily chromium oxide admixed with "other fine abrasives" and i'm kinda iffy as to what those others abrasives are. they also say it leaves a waxy feeling on blades which i'm not sure would be all that great

If it comes in a box marked "Formax Mfg., Michigan" then it has abrasive grit up to 6 microns in size. Beware of the stuff in a bar form. get the stuff from Handamerican.com

    Default green eggs and ham

Yes it's the same stuff and you will retain the green stuff in your fingers as it's so fine it's hard to get out of your skin. It's not easy being green, either.
