By one stone honing are you referring to the videos that Glen and Lynn did a while back, where they took a razor with a fresh 1K bevel set and then finished on a coticule or an Escher? I have tried it a few times and it is an advanced technique that requires intimate knowledge of pressure use in order to get a great shave in as short of a time as they do it. I think that can be said about all of their honing too though.

Glenn also did this with a guangxi stone. This video along with Bart's on coticules inspired me to try and now that's all I use is a 1k and a guangxi. Works exceptionally well.
