Thanked: 634Lay the blade on a flat surface and see if the full length of the spine makes contact. Do both sides of blade. It might be warped.

Marker paint surface and try to grind. You can see the place where the metal is removed.

Thanked: 634I am sure there is a video somewhere about this. If it were me on the sine that does not make full contact. I would only lay the spine on 1000 stone and carefully grind it flat. You may all try putting electrical tape in the area that does not make contact. I am sure someone will tell you I am totally wrong but that is what I would try. Good luck.

Thanked: 4827I have a warped blade that was difficult until I got it honed. If you can imagine it, hone as though your hone was 1 1/2" wide and just don't use the rest of the hone. In a really old post about a similar razor the suggestion was made to draw a line down the hone and just use the outside edge. Couple that with your marker test.
