Thread: Ow, My face!

A humbling experience indeed. I took a few razors that I picked up on ebay and a few of the polish razors and took them to my paddle stroop and nortons. They were popping hairs like there was to tomorrow, with no pressure. So I stropped them and took them to my face...OWWW!
They cut right through my sideburns/cheek, but pull like a starving 1 year old on my upper lip and chin. I had to finish on a shavette.
Stil need more practice to hang witht he big dogs.

It's quite possible that you created a wire edge. Just take one of the razors, do a few 1-5s on the Norton and try again.

Yup, sounds overhoned. Easy to do when you're starting out, since you don't have very much experience with how a razor progresses on the hones.
