Default I feel close to getting that bevel but then...

I'm honing a razor that was pretty sharp but not shave sharp.
Using a King 1k and I got it to cut hair on my arm pretty good (first time I was satisfied coming off a 1k).
Moved to the King 6k I figured I would spend some good time here cleaning up from the 1k.
20 laps into it I see a really small micro chip that I may have missed (with the loop) after inspecting the 1k.

    I'm wondering what happened?

Should I go back to the 1k or stay on the 6k till it's gone?

I know the 1k is not a favorite around here but it's what I have until I get a chosera.

I stayed on the 6k, then went on to the coti. We'll test shave tomorrow

1k King is what I learned on and a nice stone IMO. 6k may be a stretch after the 1k so cleaning up the bevel may take more time. If you used pressure on the 1k and didn't spend enough time doing light laps, that may be why you still have some micro chips. Seeing your last post I assume you got the chip out ?
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Yes, I got the chip out using circle strokes on the 6k. After that I stropped on the 6k then on the coti with just water to finish. Did a test shave and seems rougher than I would like. I wonder if I should strop on Crox.

Impossible to diagnose via internet, but my guess is that you didn't get the bevel fully set. For me, arm hairs pop off when touched off a 1k.
