Well, Tony, you've just outed yourself as the best source known to us for answering the question we're all going to be asking: Was it or was it not a yellow-green? Any chance of finding out? I've got my fingers crossed for the guy...

I'm not going to ask him but the photo looked like it was grey to me. Color in photos is a tricky thing though.

For now I guess it's his secret!

We all put a different value on things. I often spend stupid money on certain razors and slide rules for my collection, on the other hand the largest television in my house is a basic 19" from K-Mart and other than my cell phone is the most advanced electronic device I own <g>. Our newest car is a budget model and 12 years old. Different strokes for different folks.

    Tony,

Good to hear that he's one of us and a good customer of yours.

My thinking is that he CANNOT possibly use that many. Unless he hones like there's no tomorrow.

I understand the passion for collection - but imo he must have some that are repeating, which aren't critical for either collecting or honing use by him. And I do believe that we do not need higher prices every month.

    Cheers

    Default Yutahey bought it.

I believe you know darned well who set it! LOL! Rats! Foiled again! He's a good customer of mine and a genius at honing with years of informed experience behind him. He has an awesome collection of razors, stones, and other shaving paraphernalia.

Remember, it took two bidders to reach that price. Bidder #2 sets the price, bidder #1 simply pays more than anyone else (bidder #2) thought it was worth.
