Final Strokes
Hi guys, I want to get peoples perspectives or knowledge on their final strokes , concerning Jnats.
I use to use a hand held fan and dry my Tomo slurry, then do say 15 mega light strokes for an amazing finish.
Then one day I gave a razor 10 strokes on water which gave me one of my best edges to date.
Nower days I'm finishing on a watered down slurry, really weak.
The reason I stopped using pure water is that I started to notice the odd scratch under the scope.
What's the science behind finishing on water?
Has anyone got any insight on final finishing?

The "odd scratch" was most likely due to the occasional rogue particle.
I tend to rinse the stone of all slurry, let the excess water drain off for a few seconds, and put three drops of glycerine on it. After the WOTR finishing strokes I carefully rinse again to remove the glycerine just in case. Alx probably would throw nagura at me if he heard that I was using anything but water on a jnat.
