Thread: Tape on Jnats

I guess I want to know how it feels/sounds to hone on a jnat without tape.
I have a blade that I use 3 layers of tape on and now and then I think lets get it set with 2 layers because it would just be better for the edge.
After some time and a fattened bevel I realise I will have to use 3 layers to get rite to the edge.
So removing tape after a bevel setting isn't such a bright idea.

Without tape it sounds like: schwttttttt
With tape it sounds like: schwuttttt
With tape it feels like wearing plastic on your feet.
Without tape it feels like going barefoot.

Silence is golden but duct tape is silver.
I'm sorry what was the question ?
Oh yeah. Jnats laugh at tape but rarely at my bad jokes. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

+1, no issue with using tape.
I generally tape with one layer of electrical tape right from bevel set all the way through to finished edge (because I dont like the look of spine wear, just my preference!) and have encountered no issue with any stone.
