The DMT sticking to your stones is a good thing. I have Naniwas too. I lap them under a running tap. Once the pencil lines are gone and they start sticking together, it means there's no air between them, your stones are flat. At that point, you shouldn't be able to pull them directly apart, just slide the DMT off the stone under the running water.
