Lightbulb Honing Video: one stone honing on a Llyn Idwal from bevel setting to finish

Today I used a double sided Llyn Idwal to hone a razor for bevel setting to finishing the blade.

This will work if you have two sided stone, with one face smoothed for finishing, and I don't believe that it will be very effective if you need to remove large chips or correct the blade.

This is not a tutorial, rather than explaining the concept.

I hope that you enjoy the video, and tell me what do you think about the idea...

So if I understand the process correctly. You have one side of the hone lapped coarsely and the other side with a fine finish?
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Just like what you expect of a Llyn Ideal stones something in the area of 7-8k level, give a good Shave nothing special about it, if you ment by the question whether the edge is different using this method than honing with the same stone using a more conventional method, then the answer will be no, I haven't noticed a different when I shaved yesterday.

That's is correct, in my case both sides were lapped and smoothed (Dressed) to the same level, but the side that I used the diamond plate to slurry automatically got coarser as the diamond plate lift it grit scratches on it, plus the slurry boosted the cutting speed for setting the bevel, then I used to other smooth side to finish the blade, however I wished I have diluted the slurry gradually to decrease the amount of time that took me to finish the blade.
