You can do it. Lap stones first. fresh tape on each new hone. You had good results up through the 4K.
Let build on that. Setting the bevel again should go quickly because you have already done it once.
Let see if we can trouble shoot what happened after the 4K.
Message back when you get to that point again .WE will work through this to the best of our ability.Your only as good as your last hone job.

Now today I set the bevel on 1k King. Followed the pyramid method from the top. Had to go through 5 down a couple times to get it where I wanted it. At the end of it all the tpt isn't as sticky as id like but I'm going to give it a test shave.

Well I pulled it off! Thanks to Mr. Lynn Abrams and his pyramid method. Although I had to do more strokes and run through the progression more then once but starting at a lower number. I still came away with a shave ready blade and a close clean shave! There is room for improvement but that will take practice. Thanks too all who stuck it out and believed in me.
My mid range advice is don't quit! When you fail, try again and work your way up, try different things but stay on the same hones.Last edited by s0litarys0ldier; 10-20-2015 at 11:31 PM.

I believed in you. Proof that pyramids work as well as the library.
90% of what we do is test. Good Job. Enjoy the shave. Remember this moment and savor it.Your only as good as your last hone job.
