    Default Uneven wear fix?

I have a nice 4/8 that seems to have become duller at the toe than the heel and was wondering if there was a way to re hone that or if a complete (full edge) refresh is needed?

I had this problem with one of my Wapienicas. And I have to admit to using maybe a somewhat frowned-upon solution... I was a little impatient, so I used pressure on that part of the blade by pressing very gently on the spine when honing. I.e. used the two-handed approach to honing.

Normally I only hone one-handed with no more than the weight of the blade. It can take a while like this, I find. But with the Wapienica I lost patience and thought "Why not?" and rested my finger on the toe end of the spine.

It worked, what can I say?
