Two on the stones today, believe or not the Henckels 17 was posted from Japan on Monday less than two days it arrives at my door in the UK, now that's what I call fast.

Vintage Sanderson Bros. Steel and Crucible Steel Co. razor today finished on vintage coticule with no backing. Some good steel coming out of (I believe?) Syracuse NY back then.
Those are interesting. Sanderson had one of the first steel mills in the U.S..
Here is a link about it. http://theshiveringbeggar.com/docume...eelCompany.pdf
I feel blades like this were advertising for the steel? What is on the tangs of these 2 razors? Here is a Genco I have.

Today I needed a hair cut. My wife normally cuts it, but she is out of town. I took the opportunity to hone our hollow ground hair cutting shears as demonstrated at Howard Clark's razor meet by Ozark Edger [Shawn] a couple of years back. Hollow ground shears are much like honing razors it turns out. Finished on a Nani 8k, then took the shears to Great Clips and had the stylist use my shears so that I could get professional feedback on how I did. She was very impressed and told the other stylist who was there how sharp they were. She used mine for most of the haircut then switched back to her $350 shears with swivel thumb hole.
Fon razor. Bevel set on chosera 1k then botan toishi(top stone). I went to the iromono with DN slurry all the way to water. Soft stone with some pretty impressive cutting power. Razor came out pretty sharp and comfortable.
As you can tell I have hard time rotating the image so it's sideways.
