I’m curious about how you decide which finisher to use on which blade.

LOL.
ME TOO! Ha.
I'd like to say experience tells me but I'd be lying to ya. I "THINK" that the 20K can work on about any razor, being synthetic. As long as your finishing with the lightest touch. The Arkie and Zulu are Natural stones and I picked American steel for those because i "THINK" American steel is harder and can take and hold a better edge. This is my thoughts anyway. I could be completely wrong!
Got this Talley Ho honed up tonight. Took a great edge pretty easy. Can't wait to give it a test shave. BTW, Finshed on 20K.

I do the same thing when I choose between my Vermio and my Oozuku. As long as the shave is good ....
I have noticed a drop off in the level of sharpness from these 3 razors over the last two shaves so after many months a required quick visit to the 12K & 20K, they are now back to their usual level of sharpness.

Natural combo stone today used to hone a Burrell Top Flight razor for a smooth shave.
An unlikely group with original edges.
2 Burrell Top-Flights and a Snail Forge beginning on Naniwa 1k.
Looking for an easy Friday! I hope everyone has one. :)

Have not screwed it up yet. :D
Onward to Escher on this one.
Stopping on the 12k with the Top Flights. They need to be wicked, I think.
