The only time I got an harsh edge with my Gok 20k is when I went above 20 laps. Usually 10-15 works fine for me.

I had done this a long while back. Lynn advised 40 on CroOx and some good stropping on leather might tone it down.

Much is written about bevel setting and pressure. Not much is written about 8K and up with regards to pressure.
Chasing the perfect edge & your tag line. I dont have the 20K Yet, after the 12K experience I question its place.
Tips about how to use my hones is why I keep hanging around. Pre this post I jumped from 8K to my natural finishers with no problems. 12K just arrived this week.
It seems the 12k will make a harsh edge after 25 or so laps, FME. It depends upon how sharp it is off the 8k, or previous hone.
Adversely, it seems I can go forever on the blue-green Escher without any issues?
Weight of the blade only on finishers. Like you are honing a feather on water.
I subscribe to weight-of the-blade on everything past 4k. Just me!
