When you say you killed it on the 5k Glen, did you bring it back on the 5 as well, or drop back to the 1k again? I haven't redulled mid honing to date. What's the benefit, if you don't mind me asking?
    Thanks
If I may, FME, when going at one heavily, burrs form at the edge. I strop them a lot along the way on a stiff Illinois fabric to knock it off. Sometimes you must breadboard the thing on something, Begin anew. My favorite is a glass bottle. Some use the side of a hone (guilty).
Killing it and bringing it back, as Glen refers to, makes you positively aware of where you are.
    JMHO

Otherwise, the thing rears it's head along the way.

Yes I did kill it and bring it back on the 5k

Honest it is rather easy I swear

It has ZERO benefit on any razor that doesn't have an issue

But if a razor is having an issue with the edge collapsing, which was what I was told and saw along the edge full of "Sparklies" then it is a way of making sure that all the stuff is gone...

Just finished refreshing this razor. Had it finished on this stone before with a great mix of sharp and smooth. Have tried it on a couple others and decided it needs to be this stone for this razor. Is a La Grise 150 x 40
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed
