I have a 4 and 600 Naniwa and use them after bread knifing with diamonds for deep chip removal. Start the bevels with diamond plate at a 45 degree, spine off the plate and leave a bit of flat, bevels not meeting, then the 400 to meet and the 600 to smooth the bevel. Set fully on 1k after jointing.

I don’t use them much, but they will make quick work of setting a new bevel without the chipping from a diamond plate.

You can do much the same with a 325 DMT and a 1k, just takes longer.
