    One in today back out tomorrow off to Belgium the edge on this Ali's blade wasn't up to much so right back to ground zero bevel reset, now we are talking finished on the 20K bring those whiskers on.

    New maruka was added to the herd. My first Russian razor as well. Not sure what to call this stone?? Kiita? Mizu asagi? Hybrid maybe?

    Regardless of what it is called, it is a superb finisher that is in the top tier as far as final polishing goes.Name:  1485989291435-872447149.jpg

    Yup! At 40+mm thick this is one of the thickest I own. Should last several lifetimes if taken care of.

    Honed up a user grade Tanifuji 40 this morning on a pure, smooth, and fine piece of kiita. I added 25 clear-water strokes after my usual regimen and the edge shaved very well indeed!
