Thanked: 133Duck on the kiita.
Also dropped my puma 350 earlier this week left a 2-3 mm chip I was able to take out. Finished it on the kiita above, it took a nice edge. Did some mid work on the okudo. It is a hair under 5/8 still so still an awesome size for me.

This Kamijo came in in a rough shape. The rust went down to the bevel and the toe has been honed more than the heel. I started with 1K chosera but eventually switched to Atoma till I got nice and clean steel. I had hard time setting a good bevel but eventually the 1200 Atoma did the job. Cleaned the striae on a suita and then did a tenjou-mejiro-koma and 2 tomo progression on this very hard Hatanaka stone. The front and the back of the stone look completely different so I only sealed the sides. Very happy with the shave.
