Unless it is a show piece it will need to be honed again.

I see an issue with repeat ability.

There is no more an issue with Repeating it than there was figuring it out the first time, in fact now that the bevel was corrected it is easier

ie:

Mike read the bevel and the spine figured out the issue and corrected for it, why would it be hard for him to read the problem down the road again
