5 synthetic hones lapped, but not the BG Escher (I never lap THAT! ) for tonight's honing treat.
2 John Heiffor Original British Razors in ivory which are unused. Should be fun!

They are nice, Rez.....You should see the original boxes. They 'snap' when you close them!

I don't anymore, Pete. Bought these 10 years ago or more. They have been er, languishing.

Put a blistering, Washita edge, on a pocket knife for one of the guys at work. He also works with the local fire Dept., so I figure it better have a good, strong edge. Someones life, might be saved because if it.

    There is a Method...
that is to say Method hand soap. I had a rather new hone that repelled water.
I put some foam from a Method brand hand soap to wet the hone and found that
the razor felt smoother on the hone. Yes I could use lather but I was honing not shaving.
It seems to rinse clean under cool water. A dish soap like Dawn diluted nicely would
also work. Some hand soaps are full of lotion so not all are OK.
