Since I don't use Jet Dry and living in a small duplex, I hone on the counter in the kitchen. When I'm almost done, I reach down, open the left hand door under the sinks and pull out the spray bottle of window cleaner--Spray, spray--put the cleaner away and finish up honing.

Tore this one down, this evening. Gave the blade and scales a cleaning, pinned it back up and gave it a skip across the rocks.

Looked to still have the factory edge, no visable hone wear or scratches on the spine, so only one layer of tape.

Bevel set on 1000 Chosera, within 25-30 passes. Progression consisted of a butterscotch Washita, a Lt. blue Thurigan, slurried to clear water, then finished on a blue/green, Barber's delight.

Another vintage French razor in this week, a big 7/8 Le Grelot.

Been working on taming this suspected thuri from ebay for a little bit. Seemed to really need some work to smooth the honing surface and it really needs to be used with slurry. The coti is just for giggles, another ebay special picked up on the cheap due to poor pictures and the stone was covered in filth. Super happy with my thuri edge and the coti needs some tweaking, it is a fast cutter that requires a nimble hand to really dial in some polish.

Just honed this W & B after giving it a cheeky little set of horn scales.

    1k Bevel set.
    Ozuku x Botan / Tenjou / Koma / Tomo / 20 laps each slurry..
