A pre-1896 Sheffield Fredrick Reynolds 6/8 hollow fresh off of the 1K Norton. Botan then Tenjyo on the Mizukihara Suita. This stone is very fast and nicely complimented by the coarser Mikawa Shiro nagura after 1K bevel set. This sweetheart had almost no spine wear and has, so far, taken a very nice edge. We will see how she finishes.

MORIHEI
Razor: No-Name German hollow ground 5/8
Bevel set: A micro chip and very dull edge to set on Shapton GS 1k
Finish: Ozuku Asagi from Morihei with a small white nagura also bought from Morihei. Followed by a Tomonagura from a member here diluted down to 25 laps on clear water.
The slurry started very very dry and thick with some moderate pressure. Diluted down 2-3 times and then the same with the tomo slurry but with a little less pressure to start but still starting with a very dry and thick slurry. 2-3 solutions to plain water and Stropped on linen and horse butt.
Result: The keenest and smoothest edge I have created to date with a perfect shave. I have raised the bar for myself. Now just to repeat these results on a few different razors.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

I have not done much kamisori honing, this one was honed and used once and put away. Coming home from work Saturday night with the family gone to visit friends I had nothing much to do. I took out the kami from the drawer and gave it some honing on tomo slurry on this narrow, hard kami size Jnat. Finished on slurry.
Today was test shave day. 6 days growth was wiped like nothing giving an almost BBS with the first pass. 2 pass BBS with zero sting from alum or Proraso AS. That thing can shave.
