Yep, I jump off to the naturals from a maxed-out Nani 12k (sometimes a Norton 8k depending).

But I get the appeal of the SG20k. About 6 years ago Utopian Ron showed up at the Asheville, NC meet with a dizzying array of hones including his SG 20. He was kind enough to let me finish all the razors I had brought on it. Easy peasy just like the Nani 12!

If I didn't have such an obsessive personality (it can be both a blessing and a curse), I would probably do the same thing. But I always hear that little voice telling me, "What if I did...."

And that's the appeal of naturals, I think-each one is a mystery to be solved, a little at a time.

The 20 is a fine finisher and i do enjoy it. But my Jnat journey is turning out to be a lot of fun. Just fine tuning now.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

One day I'm going to pull the trigger and get another one of Keith Johnson's shoubodani complete honing kits with all the nagura including a koma-it would be my third, never should have sold the other two. J-Nats are fascinating and I definitely want another one. I can see me getting bored with the Zulu Grey at some point just because it's so easy.

And my buddy CJBianco has a glassy Deep Rock coticule that I have demanded the right of first refusal on. The search continues...

Poor knife took a beating after having a friend come over and help cook. She was in need of some sharpening anyway. Brunt work was done on a 6x2 midrange jnat for knives and then some finishing strokes and stropping on the kiita. The gyuto is back to slicing very nicely and evenly

I finally get the opportunity to put 4 of my razors on the hones, not honed these 4 for a very long time, very easy razors to refresh, went back to the 8K, 12k finally finished on the 20K.
