    That edge was impressive, they don't really get better than that do they.

    I would like to know exactly what the steel is and how and on what hones were used if you would care to share? Thanks.

    Thank you. can't tell you what exactly Iwasaki use but its a Swedish carbon steel. i used a 1000 grit naniwa pro to set the bevel and then i used "Doris" a jnat i named myself cuz there is no way to tell what it is. my guess would be nakayama karasu. very smooth,fast and hard. i used Doris as a base stone with a Nagura progression up to koma and then light basestone slurry as a finish.

    That edge looked very nice. I have yet to look at a Japanese razor, some day maybe...
